Current Favorite Products for Sun Protection
I don’t know about y’all, but growing up putting on sunscreen was not one of my biggest concerns. I remember as a kid every summer when I felt impatient when my parents told me to apply sunscreen on my skin before hopping in the pool or going to the beach. My only care was having fun in the sun, literally! Now as an adult, sun protection is a BIG concern! If I’m on a beach vacation and am planning to lay out in the sun for a while, I reapply as much sunscreen as I can throughout the day, both lotion and spray 😂 I’ve also made putting on tinted sunscreen a big part of my morning skincare regime. I find it to be the most important part of any skincare routine! Little me would be very surprised to learn how obsessed with it I became 🤣
Since summer is just around the corner and the warm sun’s going to be out more frequently, I thought I would share some of my current favorite sun protectant products to help prevent toasted skin and sunburns!
CeraVe 100% Mineral Tinted Face Sunscreen - SPF 30
I use this as my final step every morning during my skincare routine. I like that it protects my skin, as well as has tinted mineral that leaves more of a matte and shiny look (which is also nice if I choose not to wear primer or foundation that day). It’s also reasonably priced compared to most high quality SPF moisturizer products, and this contains great quality as well!
CeraVe 100% Mineral Sunscreen - SPF 50
Just like the tinted face sunscreen, but for the whole body. I like to use this if it’s gonna be extra hot and humid when going out and need a stronger SPF level, not just for laying out!
Laura Mercer Tinted Moisturizer Natural Skin Perfector Broad Spectrum SPF 30
My ultimate favorite tinted moisturizer of all time, and the fact that it contains SPF is a bonus to the amazing quality and texture!
Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Lightweight Sunscreen Spray - SPF 70
This has to be my all-time favorite sunscreen spray. I’ve used it for years and it’s done a great job at protecting my skin. It’s so easy to spray on and it’s not incredibly oily, plus it has more of a pleasant smell than most sunscreens!
Vacation Chardonnay Oil SPF 30 Sunscreen
I may or may not have bought this one because of the name 😂 But I do love the smell of it, and I like how shiny it looks after applying. I like to put this on as a finisher and extra layer of sunscreen after using either a SPF lotion or spray. I’m excited to use this when laying out at the pool and beach this summer!
Gotta protect the lips from the sun as well, not just the skin! I like how easy this is to apply and that I can bring it everywhere I go. The coconut flavor is my favorite!
I hope that this post is helpful going into this summer. Though I find these products helpful for my skin, I also know that everyone is different when it comes to protecting their own skin. Find sunscreen products that work best for YOUR skin! That is the best recommendation I live leave as I close off this post!
