I have so many goals on my bucket list that I want to accomplish. For seasons like fall specifically, a separate list is necessary. There's only so many fun things to do during autumn and so little time to do them before winter hits. I've seen many fall bucket list ideas on Pinterest, so I decided to make a list of my personal goals. I'm going to be honest, there's a good chance that I won't accomplish all of these goals 😂 But I'll at least cross a few to-do's off of this list, and I always have next year to check off the rest! In case you're looking for fun ideas for the next two months, here are my top ten goals on my fall bucket list:
1.) Go on a colorful autumn hike
The beautiful leaves, from the colors of red to orange, make hiking a trail so much more enjoyable and enchanting. It's a great way to relax and take time for yourself before the weather gets too frosty and you have to start holiday gift shopping for your loved ones. If you live in the Cleveland area, I highly recommend going to Cuyahoga Valley National Park because it is amazing for adventure goers and fall lovers!
2.) Walk through a corn maze with friends
I love getting lost in a maze and trying to find a way out. As long as it's not a haunted maze, then I'll be okay!
3.) Go to a football tailgate/watch party
I'm not a huge football fan, but it's a big deal in Ohio so it's kind of a must do! Of course I'd be rooting for Ohio State, not the Browns ...
4.) Visit an apple orchard, pick apples, and make caramel apples
It's apple season which makes it the perfect time to pick some tasty ones at an orchard. And if you're feeling artsy, put on your creative cap to dip them in caramel and maybe add some colorful sprinkles or nuts of your choice!
5.) Horseback riding
An article that I read from Horse & Rider claimed that fall is the best season to go horseback riding, which makes a lot of sense. The leaf-colored trails are beautiful, plus it's not too hot outside. That means the horses won't have to deal with annoying bugs as much.
6.) Bonfire with s'mores, hot apple cider, and friends
"How can I have s'more of nothing?" - Smalls from The Sandlot
I've been waiting for a long time to have an excuse to use that quote ... #90sbaby
7.) Plan a Halloween DIY costume
I already have my costume planned out for this Halloween. I don't want to reveal what it is yet though, I want it to be a surprise. I can promise you that it's going to be greater than the galaxy! That may or may have not been a tiny hint ...
8.) Attend a fall festival
If it's a harvest tradition, we have an excuse to celebrate. What better way to enjoy autumn than to eat great food, play games, and have a great time with family or friends? I'm always down for a pumpkin-flavored pastry!
9.) Bake a pie
This isn't just a fall bucket list goal, this is an overall goal for me to accomplish. Preferably I am a chocolate pie kind of girl, but I think it would be more fun and creative to make a pie from scratch with a lattice crust top.
10.) Go wine tasting at an outdoor winery
What's better than wine tasting? Wine tasting in the outdoor fall weather with cozy dresses, scarves, boots, and maybe a fancy hat! Get a group of your girlfriends for an outing and be ready to enjoy the crisp air while trying different wine brands from Chardonnay to Pinot Noir.
