It's kind of odd. Fall came a little late this year because September and October felt like summer which is very rare in Ohio. The temperature was higher than seventy degrees, some days were more hot than the days we had this past summer. Even though I'm a big fan of warmer weather, that much humidity and hotness is too much for the fall. I just want a little bit of chill! Most of the tree leaves from the summer died immediately without changing color, they died just out of the blue. Very sad, am I not right?
But that hasn't stopped me from enjoying the simple pleasures of fall, even if that means dressing up in warmer and cozier outfits in warmer weather (plus they're more fashionable!) And now that November is here, it finally looks and feels more like fall outside which makes it the perfect time to share my ten fall favorites of 2017!
1.) Green Military Jacket
I've had a green military jacket for less than a year now after my sister gave hers to me, and I've worn it almost nonstop. It's perfect for all seasons, especially fall. They go with everything and look super fab for almost any occasion, and I love the olive green color. Salute to that!
Where To Buy: Macy's
2.) Stress Relief Body Wash
Though I usually use Dove for body wash, this product is so nice and I'm going to keep using and buying it from time to time. It smells amazing and makes me feel more calm when I rub it on my body. I will say it's not magical and doesn't give you stress relief immediately, it takes some time. Unless you want to try to use the entire body all at once, although that may not be a smart idea.
Where To Buy: Bath and Body Works
3.) Eucalyptus Spearmint Bath Bomb
Pretty much the same thing as the body wash, and it's so relaxing. I love taking hot baths when I need some me-time and this bath bomb is perfect for that. I already need another one!
Where To Buy: Bath and Body Works
4.) Ready-To-Drink Pumpkin Spice Latte Bottle
I was worried this was going to be a cheap knock-off and not taste good, but I was wrong. It's actually very tasty! It's also perfect if you like cold lattes and are on the go but don't have time to pick up Starbucks on the way. If you love pumpkin spice lattes, I definitely recommend trying this!
5.) Pillsbury Pumpkin Sugar Cookies
Oh my word, I love Pillsbury sugar cookies. Not even just the pumpkin ones, I love everything they have to offer for every holiday! The raw dough is even better in my opinion, I don't care what the box says ...
Where To Buy: Target
6.) "Autumn in the Park" Candle
I love a peaceful walk outdoors in the autumn, especially when my nose tingles from the smell of fallen leaves. There's also a hint of fresh peeled apple and pumpkin to give off a more delicious scent, and eating a pink lady apple while strolling through the leafy park sounds delightful!
Where To Buy: Yankee Candle
7.) MAC Creamy Neutral Brown Liptensity Lipstick
I recently bought this on a trip to Chicago at the MAC store because I needed a new neutral lipstick. I haven't owned a product from MAC for a long time, so I'm very happy that I finally have a new one. I love this lipstick because not only is it neutral and perfect for anytime of the day but also stays on for a long time. I love the creamy texture especially, it feels smooth and warm on my lips. There's a good reason why it's called "liptensity"!
Where To Buy: Ulta
8.) Black Floppy Hat
I love hiking in the fall, and Cuyahoga Valley National Park is the perfect place to do that. This is only national park that exists in Ohio and most people are surprised to know that one actually exists in the state. It wasn't even established long ago either (October 11, 2000). I'm just blessed that I live in the state that's home to one of the most beautiful national parks to date!
10.) "Uninvited" by Lysa TerKeurst
You guys, this book is amazing! I'm not even halfway done reading it but it's already one of my top favorite books ever, along with the Harry Potter series of course. Lysa TerKeurst has a quirky sense of humor, meaningful tips on how to "live loved", and reminds us all that no one is a perfect human being except for Jesus. I highly recommend this book, it's so good that I might write a full blog post based on it later on!
