10 Favorite Inspirational Quotes

Hey, guys!

Hope you all had a lovely start to your week so far, and happy spring! I am so happy winter is finally over, even if it's not seventy-five degrees outside yet. I think warm weather and beautiful outside nature always puts me in a great mood. Although last week was a bit rough with classes and trying to get back into reality after spring break. Plus, I previously was lacking some self-confidence and worrying about practically whatever came to mind. But luckily, my anxiety managed to fade away with the help of some inspirational quotes! Don't you ever just go on Pinterest and look at popular quotes that make you feel more confident about yourself? If I'm ever going through a rough time, I always try to look up my favorite quotes that help me lift my spirits.

Here are some specific quotes I've been reading that helped me gain more self-confidence that hopefully will help you if you need more positivity!

1.) "If your dreams don't scare you, they aren't big enough."

Fear is something that holds us down from doing the things that could make a huge impact on our lives. Never be afraid to dive in and achieve something you want dream about. You will never know what you could accomplish without letting go of your fear. And if it does not work out the first time, try again until you finally achieve what you want. If you can dare to dream, then you can dare to do it.

2.) "Happiness is a decision. You are as happy as you decide to be."

This is probably the most important influential quote ever to exist to live by daily. I will be honest, bullshit happens. It's hard to decide when to be happy when some days you just feel like crawling in a corner and not have to deal with reality. However, it is not bullshit's decision to make you any less happy. Every new day is an opportunity to find happiness, whether small or big. Remember, you are the only person who can create your own sunshine.

3.) "Nothing is impossible. The word itself says 'I'm possible'." - Audrey Hepburn

First off let me just say, I'm a huge Audrey Hepburn fan. She was a talented actress, one of my favorite fashion icons, and she was just a wonderful human being. She's so classy and intelligent, which are two major traits that I look for in my own personality. Audrey had so many influential quotes, and this is probably the most inspiring. From her own experiences, she proves to many people that life has a positive purpose and anything can be accomplished.

4.) "Don't be ashamed by your story, it will inspire others."

The past is long gone! Of course, there's regrets that we all still hold onto. I have many past memories that still haunt me occasionally, and they are hard to let go of. But instead of dwelling upon the cast, I view regrets rather as lessons. Some of the most successful people in this world have had the most struggles to get to their goal. Do not allow your past to control you from what you could do to inspire others. If the successful people that we admire and follow let their past hold them back, we would not be inspired by them to accomplish our dreams.

5.) "Bitches get stuff done." - Tina Fey

I think I chose this quote as a comic relief. But if you think about it, it has a somewhat deep meaning. I'm a straight-up feminist, but I believe this is a great saying that supports feminism perfectly. Women are strong individuals, no matter what their relationship status or work ranking says. All girls are intelligent, bold and beautiful. So be proud of being a bitch, dammit!

6.) "Don't stress the could haves. If it should have, it would have."

This quote has a deep impact to my life because I've had a lot of experiences that I regret. Although I wouldn't use the term "regret" to describe those experiences, I would rather refer to them as lessons. It is a waste of time to dwell upon the past when the upcoming future is much more exciting and anticipating. Just remember that there's a reason why something you wanted didn't happen, it's all about God's timing. Just trust His great plan and whatever you desire will come at the right moment.

7.) "I love the smell of possibility in the morning."

To all the people who are not morning people, this is a quote to look up to! I will admit that I'm not a huge morning person either, but at the same time I love waking up to a brand new day with brand new opportunities. Whether there's an exciting event happening or just having a fresh morning coffee, there's always something special to look forward to.

8.) "Being positive in a negative situation is not naive. It's leadership."

When people say you are too happy-go-lucky or hopeful, do not feel discriminated. Being negative will not get you anywhere, but positivity and faith will! If you are the only person in your group who acts positive, continue to spread that positivity. You are being inspirational as well as having hope for the future, which definitely will make you the greatest leader possible. As you continue to cherish hope and positivity, good things will happen.

9.) "Don't trust everything you see. Even salt looks like sugar."

One of the biggest pieces of advice that I have ever received comes from my hundred-year old great grandmother, who has always told me, "Don't trust nobody!" I have always kept that promise to my heart. I am still trying to learn how to be less naive, but then again many people are naive at times, event the strongest people. Trust is one of the biggest key factors of relationships, whether with family, friends, or the person you love. It is important to never judge a book by its cover, or in this case you should never mistake salt for sugar. What make look harmless and sweet on the outside could lead to bitter coldness.

10.) "There comes a point in life when you need stop reading other people's books and write your own." - Albert Einstein

This is one of the most intelligent quotes said by one of the most intelligent people to ever exist. It brings an important message to help people stop comparing themselves to others. Jealously is the worst feeling to have, it just brings yourself and the good things about you down. It is only a form of hatred built upon insecurity. Instead of believing people are than you, let go of your insecurities and realize how truly awesome you are. Get to the point when you are ready to express yourself proudly and share your own story with the world. Like the fourth quote says, your own story can make an impact on many people. Learn to love yourself and your book will be a bestseller.

I hope the list of quotes was influential and a good way to help boost self-confidence. I want these sayings to be reminders of how much potential is stored inside of you, and do not be afraid to fully express yourself. I have to learned much on how to be bold, and I find bold beautiful. Finding your place and what makes you happy can add a lot of great potential to your character and future. God has great things planned for you, even greater than you could imagine or ask for. No matter how long the journey make take for you to get to where you desire to be, I promise you will reach it and will become the Albert Einstein, Audrey Hepburn, or Tina Fey of your own story. :)
