Sooooo, it’s pretty safe to say that winter has officially hit us. Even though it’s been winter for almost a month now, what I mean is that it is now snowing, which makes it official. Despite how pretty the glistening snow looks on the ground and trees, I hate it. Winter is my least favorite season. It makes sense since I’ve lived in Ohio for all my life and I’ve had to put up with the long winter seasons for about twenty-three years. The only time I am willing to appreciate snow is at its true glory: Christmastime. BUT we had a Green Christmas instead of a White Christmas, which I’m still salty about. Right now my mindset is focused on sunshine, flowers, and mild temperature (aka spring). Believe me, I’ll be a happy girl when I see the first flowers bloom out of the ground!
But since it’s still the beginning of winter (especially now that the snow has arrived), I’m gonna stay positive and cheerful as I push through these next couple months. The best way to do that is not only to wear plenty of layers to stay warm, but also to style them up. One of my current favorite fashion pieces are my faux leather leggings from Target and my flannel blanket scarf from Eddie Bauer. Leather leggings are super trendy right now. I’ve seen a lot of bloggers wearing them, so I decided to order a pair for myself. I found this specific pair on Target’s website. They were also on sale since it was right after Christmas, so I ordered them for a really good deal! And my scarf was a Christmas gift from my grandma. To be honest, I thought Eddie Bauer only had clothing for men, since it’s more of a sporty kind of retailer. But now I have a really cute scarf from there, I may start shopping there more often!
I also got this really cute Francesca’s black sweater for Christmas. What I love about it is the backless portion of it, including the bow at the top. I know what you’re thinking when you see the picture below, that I’m crazy. Obviously, I would never wear this sweater without a coat or jacket in the winter. I braved the cold temperature in order to show you what the back of it looks like, so be grateful! I will definitely post this sweater again in warmer weather with other styling ideas.
